STORIES
The word "sakura" refers to a cherry in bloom, and has the same meaning in both Japanese and Chinese. The Japanese attach almost religious significance to the cherry blossom, and their ancient stories say that under the sakura trees, people had lunch and drank sake during merry feasts accompanied by music and dancing. We have embraced this symbolism and incorporated the cherry blossom into the restaurant’s identity, which we hope will properly reflect the life energy carried by Eastern cultures.
